Jim Wilson, P.T., M.B.A.
Jim Wilson, PT has thirty plus years of experience providing physical therapy services which have helped thousands of people suffering from traumatic, neurological, and orthopedic injuries. While physical therapy goals are unique to each individual, two common goals of treatment are to maximize patient pain relief and restore normal functional abilities as prior-to-injury.
Mr. Wilson graduated from LSUMC School of Allied Health Professions in 1988 and was first elected to the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association Board of Directors in 1990. He founded Therapy Associates of Martinsville Inc. in 1992 and started every physical therapy specialization program offered by that practice. He ultimately sold his practice in Virginia and returned to his home state of Louisiana in 2005. He has testified as an expert physical therapy witness in both Henry County (Virginia) and East Baton Rouge Parish. Additionally, he has provided on-site educational and clinical services to Louisiana industries throughout several parishes.
Mr. Wilson joined Total Injury Care and Pain Center in September of 2019 and is excited to be part of their ongoing mission to provide a continuum of the best healthcare in the location most convenient for each patient. He is well-versed in the latest physical therapy treatments including a wide variety of taping techniques, neurodevelopmental therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, dry needling, and functional capacity evaluation.
His hobbies include long-distance competitive shooting and all things aviation. He resides in Port Allen with his wife Beth. Both of their sons are proudly serving our Nation as active duty US Marines.
